Shave Biopsy

We offer shave biopsies on suspicious lesions. This is done by numbing the local area and obtaining a small specimen to be sent to the lab for further evaluation under a microscope. This is a non- invasive procedure that is done in the office.

Wide Excision

In the event that your lesion biopsy comes back abnormal, we may be able to perform a wide excision in the office or you have the option to see a dermatologist for this procedure. It is completed by numbing the area and obtaining a larger area to send to the lab. Sutures will be placed to close the skin and you will be required to follow up in approximately 1 week for a suture removal.

Euflexxa Injections

This medication is used to treat knee pain in patients with osteoarthritis. It is used in patients that have not responded to treatments such as pain relievers, exercise, and/or physical therapy. Hyaluronate is similar to a substance that occurs naturally in the joints to help lubricate the joint and decrease pain. Your doctor will start by sending you for bilateral knee x-rays and your insurance will be contacted for coverage.

Testopel Pellets

We offer Testopel pellet placement in our office. This is a treatment for low testosterone. This is the only FDA-approved implantable testosterone pellet. Testopel is placed just under the skin in the hip area. Testopel placement is dosed every 3-6 months. Speak with our providers for more information.

Thyroid Biopsy

A Thyroid biopsy is a procedure we do in the office. A small sample of tissue is removed from the thyroid gland. This is done by putting a small needle through the skin into the thyroid gland after the local area is numb. A thyroid biopsy is done if a nodule is found in the thyroid gland or if you have hypo- or hyperthyroidism. You are awake during the procedure. This procedure is done with ultrasound guidance and takes approximately 15-20 minutes.

Trigger Point/ Joint Injections

Trigger point/ joint injections are used as an option for patients with muscle and/or joint pain. This is done by inserting a small amount of corticosteroid into the muscle or joint to help relax the muscle and reduce inflammation. These injections are given under ultrasound guidance and usually only takes a few minutes. Some examples include but are not limited to Sciatica, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, and back/neck pain.
